The famous Coco Chanel once said that “a woman should apply perfume in those areas where she would like to be kissed.” While this is most likely true, there are far beyond many reasons why we wear perfume. I think one of the main goals of why we wear perfume is to show off our individuality. A person chooses from so many fragrances that match one’s personal tastes. Take a look at these great smelling fragrances, as there is pretty much something out there for all of us. If you prefer a musky/earthy scent, a perfume like Versace Woman may be a good option. Or if you like something more sweet/fruity, something like Fantasy Midnight by Britney Spears might be one worth looking at. Saying this though, the choice of scents could change depending on our mood, the occasion, and other circumstances. Often times, people recognize us also through our scent.
I was given a chance by Escentual.com to review Chloe Eau de Parfum Spray. I was sent a 75ml bottle to try out.
Chloe is a light and fresh yet seductively strong and self-posessed scent, capturing the creative, confident individuality of a free spirited woman with an utterly innate sense of chic and natural sexiness.
The fragrance playfully twists notions of femininity, taking the classic beautiful rose and translating it with modernity into a vibrant, powdery floral Eau de Parfum. It is translucent, turning warm and seductive, totally addictive.
Honestly, I am not an expert when it comes to perfumes since I prefer mists and colognes but since I like refreshing and non traditional scents, the pleasant top note (rose component) of the perfume captured my attention first. It took me back to old memories of my grandmother’s old rose garden and transmit a sense of the past, of good things lived, pleasant things of my childhood, it is kind of nostalgic actually!
I found this scent very classy because of its powdery rosy scent combined with the crispy light floral scent which connotes femininity, freshness, and fragility. With this, I can say that this will make a good bet for a bridal perfume. (Read this, brides-to-be’s lol!). I also can see this fragrance very well suited for Spring since it smells fresh and not too overpowering. I have used this perfume most during the winter season and I can say that the scent doesn’t disappear that quickly, so I will yet have to try it this Spring to check out if the fragrance will still be long-lasting despite a warmer temperature. (Please note that each of us has our own tolerance to certain smell and scents, and our body also reacts to chemicals differently so this observation may vary with your own experience). Let me also mention that I am pleased with Chloe’s lovely chic bottle which is very elegant.
Chloe has started up some conversations for me especially during church service, when I was asked what perfume am I wearing, the same thing happened at the courier branch we once visited.
If you want to try Chloe Eau de Parfum Spray, and experience its sophistication, you can check it out at Escentual.com and other perfume shops offline and online.
