The Christmas Season is here! Actually Christmas is one of my favorite seasons of the year. As a child, I was excited for Christmas since it meant getting new stuff like clothes and toys. In the Philippines, we also have the tradition of receiving money from our godparents (and so it means extra allowance when I was a student back then). But among all these material reasons, I love Christmas since IT IS a season of love and  giving.

I must admit that my idea of Christmas changed over the years, as I came of age especially when I became a parent. Christmas was not “all about me” (and what I want) anymore but about my child and how I can make her feel that it is indeed the merriest season of all. As much as possible, I want her to learn the true meaning of Christmas, much more than just the gifts and treats.

It has been a great year for me and my family. I can say we’ve been very blessed in so many things especially in terms of our health. At this point in life, I cannot say I have everything but I am happy with what I/we have.

The plush’s power comes from one of the most powerful forces on earth-a kid’s imagination. And they carry a powerful message to kids who play with them—the importance of respect and empathy in their daily, young lives.

The Gift of Giving 

I am fortunate that this year, I was given the chance to use my online influence and share the blessings in collaboration with Stickman Stew. I was asked to choose a foundation or charity organization which I would like to help. I searched within my area and was able to find a non-profit organization called Semillas de Amor (Seeds of Love) which is located in Santa Clara. Semillas de Amor is helping to fund deprived kids from Guatemala. You can find more information in their website : http://semillasdeamor.org/.

For every STICKMAN STEW® & THE GOLD HEART CREW™ toy you buy online for less than $10, you’ll get a chance to donate a second toy for a boy or girl who has had tough problems to face so early in their young life. I along with other mom influencers each has her own non-profit organization to support.

So if you buy 5 toys…5 will be shipped to you and an additional 5 will be donated to charity. At checkout, you’ll be able to select which kid-friendly non-profit you would like to receive the donated toys. There is also an option to “donate all toys you purchase” in the drop-down menu. If you select this option, the total order will go to charity and no toys will be shipped to you.
