I am participating in this giveaway on behalf of Bloggin’ Mamas and in support of Shelter Pets. Shelter Pets and the Ad Council are in no way responsible for this giveaway or prize fulfillment.
Have you ever adopted or considered adopting a pet? Of all the pets in American homes, only 29% were adopted from a shelter or rescue. Each year approximately 3-4 million pets are adopted, but 2.7 million still lose their lives each year for lack of a home.
Seventeen million people will acquire a pet within the next year. The Shelter Pet Project, a collaborative effort between The Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund® and the Ad Council, hopes to encourage these prospective pet owners to adopt shelter and rescue pets.
Once adopted these pets will have a greater life, it’s so important that this is something that people actually consider doing and actually making a difference. That being said, if you aren’t going to look after a pet properly then don’t do it. A pet is for life, not just for Christmas (or any gift-giving a reason).
If you are happy to take a dog on, then you must remember to look after it. Give it plenty of attention and make sure it realizes how special it is. Look after it well, you could even make use of things like colloidal silver for dogs to help boost it’s immune system plus a whole lot more!
Still interested in adopting? Then great! Here is just one of those shelter pets:

I chose to read this, since my daughters are in this age group:
6 – 12 Years Old
From around ages 6 – 12, children gradually lose their baby teeth and their adult teeth start to appear.
The first adult teeth to come in are molars. These first molars are important because they help shape your child’s face and affect the position and health of the other adult teeth that are about to arrive.
THANKS for the chance to win!!

I was able to socialize and re – home 13 feral cats and kittens this year and I rescued my cat from a abusive home, I learned shelter pets make the best pets because they will never forget that you rescued them!

I like how you can search for local area pets from the website. We adopted both our cat boys from shelters, so we are big supporters of the programs. We are currently looking around for a dog, so this is helpful.
