I went to a Christian school during grade school and high school, this is where my knowledge about The Bible and the amazing stories in it started. I remember that my first favorite story is the narrative of how we were created, the story of Creation and the Epic birth of Jesus Christ.

I was sent a copy of the Treasury Of Bible Stories. Honestly I was so excited to receive a copy of this book because for a change instead of reading other fictional stories, I would be able to share relevant Bible stories with my daughter.

Treasury of Bible Stories one sheet

Since became a mom, I realized that these stories from my childhood somehow helped in my formation as a kid. I was just as amazed when my daughter started joining the Sunday School last year. On our drive home, she would share the Bible story they have disccused in their session. I know that in one way or another, I need to find a way to reinforce the values she is being taught in Sunday school. This is where Treasury Of Bible Stories play a vital role.

treasury of bible stories read

Treasury Of Bible Stories is a book that compiles 20 magnificent stories from the Bible. What makes it special is that instead of a narrative form, it is written in rhyming text that makes reading (for kids who can already read) more exciting, not boring. For me as a story teller (for kids who can’t read yet), reading the story in this form gives me more avenue to make the story more interesting and more lively to the listener.

treasury of bible stories page

My daughter cannot read yet but she enjoyed browsing the pages of the book. The illustrations are so fun and colorful, it immediately catches a kid’s attention. I also like the way that the text/lines are so appropiate to the understanding of the kids. The author was able to present the stories in such a way that it is easier to understand without missing the relevant information from the original Bible passage and with just the right length not to lose a kid’s engagement with the stories.

Treasury of Bible Stories 2

Overall, I would recommend the Treasury Of Bible Stories to parents who would want to impart not just plain stories but Bible based stories to their kids. This can also be another approach to start teaching about God’s word in an easier, better way.

If you want to start your children’s book collection or if you already have one, and want to add Treasury Of Bible Stories to it, you can buy this at ChristianBook.com, originally priced at $19.99 but is now on sale (30% off) for $13.99, also on Amazon (Treasury of Bible Stories: Rhythmical Rhymes of Biblical Times (Magnificent Tales Series)

I would like to win this because like you, I too went to a Christian school growing up, but never made the time to teach my kids about Bible stories because, as a single parent, I was too busy providing for them. They don’t have a clue as to what I’m talking about; and when I try to impress them on my grandson my daughter cannot reinforce their merit.

I would like to win this for my almost 5 year old son. I was not brought up religious, but I always wished I had been, or at least been more exposed to it. My son asks questions about heaven and God all the time. This would be wonderful to teach him things that I cannot.

Perfect for my two children, who yes have gone to church but have not really shown interest till lately, asking questions and really wanting to understand. This would be a great addition to our reading times together, making more sense to them in the form of a book made for children.

  40. Sue Harp says

What a beautiful collection of Bible stories!! Every child needs to learn about he love of God and how He will always protect, love and forgive them. The world is getting to be such a scary place for children and they must realize that God will always be there for them, as long as they put their trust in Him.

I would love to win. I decided to homeschool my two preschoolers this year because we couldn’t afford two in our wonderful little Christian preschool. So I do my best and we have a lot of fun at home but I am not putting as much excitement into the bible stories as I would like or as the pastor would have on his weekly visits. I would love to have a new tool to use!
