Heat Storm is a company that is dedicated to superior design and functionality. Their Heat Storm infrared heat technology are intelligent and functional. They want to keep you warm this winter. Their mission is to keep you warm for less. Here are 3 great reasons why you should own an energy efficient Infrared Heater:

  • A better heat exchanger- Traditional heaters have one exchanger where a Heat Storm Infrared Heater has 2. Their Tungstan and Fiber elements reach temperatures of 2000+F, whereas normal space heaters elements rarely exceed 500+F. Their infrared elements emit high levels of infrared light into a second exchanger.
  • A better use of energy- Besides being focused on keeping you warm, They have a second priority of keeping your energy bill low. Heat Storm heaters feature heat3 or pronounced heat cube technology which makes their heat smarter than the average heater. Their heaters automate how much energy should be used on the ambient temperature. Their heaters feature a digital thermostat which knows when to switch between full and half power. It takes intelligence to know what a space needs to heat it.
  • Heat Storm is Safer- They design safety into all of their products. I know you are asking yourself how and it is that unlike other space heaters, Heat Storm heaters have their elements enclosed and not exposed. You can feel safe and secure with a Heat Storm heater.

Our apartment is older and only has single paned windows so we have to use insulated curtains and keep our wall heaters running almost constantly to keep it warm in our home.

This would be great to heat my mobile home as it gets really cold in the winter.

I stay warm any way I can.  I dress in layers, warm socks, boots, warm coats, scarves, hats and gloves.  I live in a cold snowy state.  My husband built a sauna and that is one place I can go to be really warm.

This weather has been realllly tough- the cold weather has nearly paralyzed us here on the East Coast reaching temperstures not more than 0 at times with no wind chill figured in.  Make sure your heat is up to date, get portable fireplaces if you have to. stock up on blankets, double coat your feet (mine have had fuzzy socks and boots). at night, drink WARM fluids-take warm baths. at least this has worked for us (minus the portable fireplace).  we have a small electric fireplace in a room that has little insulation. have to keep my furry friemds warm (even tho they have fur coats)!

  8. Jennifer Rote says

    I cuddle under a blanket.

  9. Myrna Kasick says

    January 18, 2014 at 11:42 am

Actually I've been opening the windows to let in the warm air, because we're having record breaking heat here in CA and it's colder in the house than it is outside.

  10. Marcia Lee says

    January 18, 2014 at 12:02 pm

We run a humidifier in the house and wear layers of clothes.

  11. Jayedee DeWitt says

    January 18, 2014 at 12:16 pm

living in central floida, we really have no need of central heating.  during our once in a while cold snaps, we rely on space heaters and extra clothing to keep us warm

  12. melikegarfield says

    January 18, 2014 at 2:04 pm

I stay warm in the winter in two ways, at least at home. We shut down the house. It isn't greatly insulated so my partner plastics the windows and we cut off the back door entry because it leaks cold air. I also wear layers, usually wearing a pair of long-johns at home.

  13. MARTHA says

    January 18, 2014 at 3:38 pm

    January 19, 2014 at 3:46 pm

We dont get a lot of cold days here in Florida..but, when we do..we close the drapes to trap in heat..set the themostate to a lower number to save on electric..bundle up and layer with clothing and layer our bedding.

  17. Marcia Lee says

    January 19, 2014 at 6:33 pm

We put in new windows that are more energy efficient. We also have wool sweaters, socks and wear those when it gets really cold.

  18. Susan Christy says

    January 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm

I crank up the heat, pull the electric blanket off my bed and cover up with it on the sofa.  My house is old and drafty!!

  19. Dawn K. says

  23. Marcia Lee says

    January 20, 2014 at 9:11 pm

We stay warm by bundling up on those extra cold days.

  24. Sarah Elyce says

    January 21, 2014 at 10:45 am

Since we have oil (expensive) heat, we try to minimize how much we use.  We use plenty of blankets and wear warm clothes in the house.  We also bundle up together on the couch- not so bad! 😉

  25. Marcia Lee says

    January 21, 2014 at 11:36 pm

We close the drapes as soon as the sun goes down. When we go to bed, we have a thermostat that will go down when it is set and we let the temperature go down to 63. Our electric blanket is helpful and we usually keep it on to warm the bed and then turn it off after we are cozy.

  32. Marcia Lee says

    January 23, 2014 at 10:00 pm

The topic of the day in our area is when are we going to get back to our normal winter temperatures. We are all tired of less than zero temperatures or 1 digit temps. So we have been majoring in trying to stay warm while at the same time not sending all of our paychecks to the utility company. How do we accomplish that? Layers, layers and more layers of clothing.

  33. Lisa Cox says

    January 24, 2014 at 1:46 pm

We have central propane heat, but due to costs we keep the thermostat at 66 or below.   So we all bundle up in lots of clothes and the dogs help keep us warm by laying next to us.

  34. Wanda Rountree says

    January 24, 2014 at 2:58 pm

I run my central heat and air, I have a small heater I run in the living room and sometimes we lay under throws.

I just heard the discouraging news that our high for Sunday will be -2. Another week of highs in the single digits or below zero. I'm glad that wool sweaters and socks don't wear out in one season, because that's what I'm using to try to stay warm.

I use quilted bedspreads to make window shades for each window. to match my decor in each room. It helps so much to keep cold air out and can be rolled up when I want the suns warmth to shine in.

  40. nuronerd says

    January 25, 2014 at 1:59 pm

We covered the windows with plastic the air has been so cold this year. It has helped with the drafts…but I've been confined to my snuggie on the coldest days at home.

  41. Cathy French says

    January 25, 2014 at 3:51 pm

I stay warm by using both my snuggie and a blanket while snuggling on the couch watching tv or using my kindle

  42. Marcia Lee says

    January 25, 2014 at 11:13 pm

One way that we stay warm is with an electric blanket on our bed. The thermostat turns down at night, but sometimes we stay up beyond the turns down time. Then it is really nice to get into bed and have it warm.

  43. Ancilla Jagdeo says

Schools have been closed for the last 2 days because the windchills are as low as -40 so I am home again today in flannels, again drinking hot tea and wrapping up in an afghan. I know the furnace has turned off once in a while, but it seems like it has been running non-stop all day long. But I thank the Lord that we have a roof over our heads, heat, running water, food and a loving family. I can't imagine being homeless is this weather.
