How does it work?
Easy. Musicians enter, people vote and share, then musicians become stars.
The idea is simple: to find the top music videos in the world. We bring music lovers and artists together, kind of like an internet version of American Idol. The reason for doing this is to discover top talent that is otherwise hidden within the confines of millions of Youtube videos.
Grandool’s contest logic is simple and has four steps.
- Step one consists of registration closing and contest beginning on Feb 24.
- Step two is to find the top 100 videos from entered pool. By March 3rd, only top 100 most viewed videos will remain in contest. The counted views are Youtube counted views, this way the most shared and viewed video do well. Previous views do not matter, only views received between Feb 24 and March 3 count.
- Step three is to make the contest personal. The Top 100 artists can add a video with their story, this way people can get to know the artists and form a connection.
- Step four is to leave top 25 most viewed videos and let them continue until a total of one billion views is reached. The top 25 artists will remain after March 11.
