Just this week, I have noticed the sudden change in the weather. We just came from a church camping over the weekend where we experienced hale and then heavy rain, and on our way back to San Jose, we were greeted by a colder temperature. September 22 was the The First Day of Autumn (Autumnal Equinox) 2013, which means that the days will be shorter than the nights and that we're also expecting a more chilly weather in the coming days.
Soon enough, it is going to be Trick or Treating time (which I am excited about because this is my daughter's first time to experience Trick or Treat here in the US). My excitement is evident by the fact that I have already bought Ceana's costume way back in August!
The summer displays at the mall and supermarkets were replaced by the ones for Halloween. There are costumes all over, pumpkins, and even Halloween stationery together with candies, chocolate bars and scary toys that set the mood for Trick or Treat.
Honestly, I am not so much a fan of the Fall and Winter all because of the cold. I can say that I am more of a Summer person. Though this season also has the best occasions to celebrate like Thanksgiving and Christmas, the cold season triggers my allergies which is pretty uncomfortable. Aside from that, the chilly weather brings some kind of melancholy that I can't explain.
This poses a challenge for me actually, that is to make the Fall and Winter seasons more exciting for me and my family, after all it is already here…
As Ecclesiastes 3 : 1 says – "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven"
