If there's one thing I have that I want to impart to my daughter, that is the love for reading. As far as I can remember I started reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys at age 9 and I borrowed these books from a collection which my older cousins have. Attractively illustrated fairies bring letters one by one to spell out the child's name, with a description of the character traits that make the recipient alone the perfect princess.What she didn't know is-her name was the one actually on the book! I know for a fact that when the time comes that she can already read then she will appreciate the book more.
The storybook not only served a story but also a tool for me to teach my daughter in recognizing the letters of the alpahbet and even the letters of her name.
As a parent, I really really love the book, most especially the dedication page which include the child's full name along with her birthday plus a short message from the parents. It gives the receiver the feeling of being important and special. The personalization along with the message doubles the value of the book which can be considered the owner's childhood treasure in the future.
