Well my husband and I are in the middle of excitement and anticipation now. At the onset of our transfer here in San Jose, we have already planned of purchasing our own house mainly because we want more privacy as we are starting our family, our own home. At the same time this is a good move since in our area room rates and apartment rental is quite costly. Looking at it, on the long run it is better to pay for mortgage just like paying your monthly rent and then later on claim the house as your own.
Almost everyday, I see my husband searching for a good fit 3 bedroom and 2 bath mobile home. We can't afford a big house yet and this is just what our money will suffice at the moment. Initially we were debating of getting either a home or a new SUV. He is driving a 1995 Nissan Sentra which is quite outdated and unreliable for long drives. During the President's Day sale, we accompanied a friend in buying a new car. I can almost feel him (my husband) tempted to snag the biggest toyota prius hybrid deals that day. Luckily he was able to resist it. First things first.
Just to give you and idea, we made an offer on the house below.

This house is located in Union City which is 21 miles from where we live right now. This means that we will be away from most of our friends here in San Jose if we will be able to get this house. My husband's job will be approximately 26 miles and almost half an hour drive. But we don't know yet, we'll need to wait for our realtor for the result of the offer we made (boy it was a ton of paperwork, by the way!). For the meantime, we're just leaning on our faith and God's provision for us. It doesn't matter how we want something so badly, for in the end it is still His will that will be done.
What about you? Do you have any plans that you needed to prioritize among other plans you have?
