My Charmed Mom

Live & Thrive

How Time Flies

03.16.2013 by Icar //

As a parent everyday is a milestone, our children are continuously developing and discovering new things. When I started my journey through motherhood, I promised myself that I will document all the important life events of my child. With the technology we have now, everything is possible and attainable with the help of state of the art gadgets. And so from the moment that my daughter is clearly visible in her sonogram I have went to a few sessions just to get more images of her inside my womb.

I have kept all of these in a clear file so that when she gets older she can look at it and see how she was before she came out into this world. From the moment my daughter was taken out of my womb (I delivered via C-section), her first photo was already taken. I guess most moms will agree with me that this moment is priceless, seeing your child for the first time after nine long months.

I took a photo of her everyday until she reached her first month, this was my mom's suggestion. I captured a smiling Ceana when she was just a week old baby as shown in the photo below :

It has been more than two years now, she has grown into a pretty little girl and everyday is getting much more exciting. She is developing into an inquisitive and jolly toddler. Her little antics always make me and her dad smile and laugh most of the time. She is actually fond of using our things the way she sees us use it, just like when she put on her dad's rubber shoes.

Sometimes, I wish there is a PAUSE button to make me savor every moment I spend with her because I know it won't be long before she will set out on her own wings. There will come a time that she will not need me anymore to dress her up and she will not cuddle with me and will find it corny doing so. Aww I'm dreading that time, but I know it will come in the future but for now I just wanted to enjoy everything, and bask in her playfulness and warmth.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
