I am Makoy and I'm from Philippines. 28 years old, married for two years with one son.
Why did you start blogging? Is this also why you continue blogging?
Actually, it's me and my wife. We started this blog just for fun since we love joining online giveaways, contests, and promos during our free time. As of now, I am still the one in-charge as I am still establishing it's presence online but as we agreed my wife will take over after six months. We continue blogging because we enjoy it and we're liking the feed-backs from readers.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?
In august, our blog will turn 3-Month old (yey!) and so far so good. The only challenge that we are facing is time constraint but we are enjoying it.
Share your top 3 favorite blogs to read and why?
Three that I favored the most are netmagazine, betali.st, and pleatedjeans in tumblr.
netmagazine – one of the best site to go to when you need a web dev and design tips, tutorial, and news supplement.
betali.st – they provide list of upcoming internet startup and I don't know why but I just like seeing and trying startup site.
pleatedjeans – blog that never fails to make me laugh.
What is your best advice for a Newbie Blogger?
Never clutter your blog with too many useless widgets and big resolution images that slow down your blog. Most readers are impatient and will only wait a few seconds for your blog to load in their browser. Anything beyond that and they will move.
Thanks for the interview with some really useful tips. I'm a new blogger, too, so I'm always looking for information to help me out. Seeing other newbies around lets me know I'm not alone in the beginning stages of blogging.
