My Charmed Mom

Live & Thrive

Back to Normal

06.16.2012 by Icar //

I had a long week. I'm glad weekend is finally here but actually as a stay at home mom, weekdays and weekends really makes no difference to me. Since June started, I had been under a lot of stress. Mainly, because my daughter has been under the weather lately. I don't know the reason why she had been sickly for the past weeks. First it was throat infection then after a week, mouth sore plagued her then now she has cough and colds not to mention that during those times she had on and off fever. Sometimes I wonder is it just me or is it "really" the weather. We have an erratic weather lately in this side of the world and I guess because of the unpredictable temperature changes my little princess cannot withstand it.

I know a lot of moms will agree with me but I feel bad uncomfortable and all sorts of other negative feelings when my daughter gets sick, most especially because I am a stay at home mom. I feel that she should always be in good condition since I am always at her side-taking care of her and seeing her needs 24/7. I feel frustrated over the trivial things that happen whenever she is down with something. I have the tendency to question my mothering capability and feel bad about myself. Earlier on I was planning of looking for a resume writer so that I can update my resume and maybe start finding a job again. But I guess I will have to postpone it for the meantime since my daughter needs more time and attention now.

As of writing, my daughter is better now, she has recuperated from the infection and mouth sore and is just dealing with the colds that's why I can say I am back to normal again-the normal, worry-free me. I guess this is the way most moms are, we depict the true essence of being nurturing and caring. For my plans, I should say I will have to do with being a stay at home mom for now and a mommy blogger on the side-which by the way I enjoy a lot. I am planning of maybe finding work when she goes to school so that will be around 2-3 years from now. I think by that time I will really need to find a good provider of resume services so that I can get help with mine after being out of the workforce and going on hiatus. Do you have any suggestions?

The weather has a lot to do with it, every time the weather changes I get sick & have for years, a lot of it is allergies.  Hope she is feeling better.  This is really a bad year for allergies.

It is kind of interesting how back to normal is….. busy with home, kids, etc. It is worse when anyone in the family is ill. When you go back to work, it helps a lot! Like a vacation! 🙂
