My dad passed away a little over a year ago so every memory is special. The two memories that are the most meaningful is my wedding day and the happyness in my dads face, and when I had my first child my dad holding her and being so proud and sitting in the waiting room all day waiting for her to come. I think he told everyone he seen even he didnt know them that his little girl just had a baby.
I’ sorry about his loss. I assumed you miss him so much.
I guess for daughters like us one of the best memories we will have with our Dads was during our wedding day and seeing the delight on their faces when they hold their grandchildren.
thanks for sharing and for joining this contest….
my plan is to go back to my country this year with my son to see my dad
that’s a good plan, I bet your Dad will be delighted to see you especially your son…Good Luck!
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

You’re welcome Carol…Thanks for joining and good luck!
forgot to answer question. I have so many incredible moments to remember my Dad by. He passed away last September at 92 years old. I can’t ever remember a time when I couldn’t depend on my Dad or when he wasn’t there to guide us and love us. I’ll continue to celebrate a man who was the very definition of the word Father. And this year I’ll celebrate Father’s Day with both my sons who are Dads also.
Carol L.
I’m sorry to hear about your Dad…but wow!that’s an age to beat at 92!
I guess our fathers have a subtle way of pampering us as compared to the nurturing duties of our moms. In their own ways they show us their love though sometimes it is not as transparent as a mom’s. Thanks for sharing! Happy Father’s Day to your sons…
My best memory is putting on my “work” boots to go outside and help my dad clean after a storm when I was little 🙂
[email protected]
haha so cute…ni ce memories indeed!
My dad is a blast to be around no matter what we are doing. I remember way back when i was in grade school and he went on a trip with me, all my friends in school thought he was my grandpa and not my dad. He just looked older and now to this day he looks the same 27 years later.. LOL
glad you shared your childhood memories!
my real and step dads past away 🙁
I’m so sorry about it…I know that their memories are forever in your heart
I have fond memories of building and fixing things with my father.
yes i guess once in our life we were interested in men’s activities-plumbing,etc because of our Dad. I don’t know why but they always know how to make or fix things…
My favorite memory of my dad is curling his hair as a kid playing beauty salon.
haha that’s hilarious! your dad really showed you his love by letting you “curl” his hair…
we are going out to dinner on father’s day… thats our plans
hope you enjoy your dinner-happy father’s day to your dad!
my dad has been disabled for most of my life. So anytime we get to do things together is special. His health has gotten worse, especially over the past couple years and I appreciate all the time I still get with him.
that’s good, make every moment count. and make sure you spend time whenever you can sometimes I feel the same way though I live with my dad, I feel that I take his presence for granted because I miss him whenever we are far away from each other.
My hope is that my dad and I can reconnect in the future. We have been estranged for a couple years now ;(
I’m sorry to hear that, but I know the right time will come just don’t make it too long. I suggest you start as soon as possible so that you can enjoy some more good times with him instead of regretting it in the end-that you did not do it sooner. Good luck!
My well wishes and thoughts are with you!
I remember how excited he got when I got him his own mini fridge and he completely filled it up when his leg was amputated
that’s too sweet of you, for sure it made him feel comfortable and better…
My favorite memory with my dad would have to be going on Indian Princess campouts with him as a young girl. Those were definitely fun times and we made so many memories between hiking, archery, canoeing, riding horses, etc.
wow, I love the activities you did with him when you were little!hiking, archery, canoeing and riding horses-those are not the usual activities-you’re very lucky to have experienced this with your dad…thanks for sharing…
My most unforgettable moment is dancing to “Butterfly kisses” at my wedding with him.
awww, that’s so sweet! you know what?good for you because you were able to remember the song you danced with him during your wedding. If I just base it on my memory I cannot remember I ever heard anything at all but the wedding video made me remember lol…
thanks for sharing!
The moment I remember best with my father is when he was drowning in the Flaming George and there were only 2 of us on the boat my uncle who knew how to work the boat, and myself. We looked at each other without a word I Jumped in and very quickly and out of reach of my father I pushed him up and out of the water while pushing my self out of his reach. He clung to the side of the boat with a death grip. He never jumped off a boat again with out knowing for sure she could touch the bottom, because he cant swim
that was an amazing act!it’s a good thing you know how to swim or else you were not able to save his life…If I experience that, it will be an unforgettable one as well. Cheers to you and your Dad!
I just got to hear my dad’s reaction to hearing my son tell him about my new “tummy baby”. Priceless.

I surprised my dad on his 80th birthday by showing up for his party by flying in from another country. It was worth the time and effort to get a huge bear hug from him.
When I was very young, I loved to spend time with my dad going to the grocery store, raking the lawn after he mowed, helping shovel snow, washing the car. He spent so much time at work that the time at home was doing chores so I joined him and it was our special time because my sister hated to work.

Happy Father’s Day!
I remember taking long walks after supper with my father. He would talk about his childhood, how he met my mom, and anything else that I was interested in hearing about.
After these long walks we would return back to the house where mom would be sitting on the porch with my brother and sometimes they would start to sing the “old time” songs. My brother and I would just laugh and laugh at these silly songs. Now! we would give anything thing to hear these songs again!
going to fishing with him every sunday at 5am
