Ways To Feel Good In Yourself Every Day

11.26.2017 by Icar // Leave a Comment

It’s easy to get down now and then, especially if you’re going through a difficult and stressful time. You wake up one day feeling OK and then another to feel completely the opposite. Life is hard, and at some point, we all experience bad times. However, there’s no point dwelling on things and making yourself feel even worse. There are external factors which we can change and ways to keep our motivation up. Of course, it’s vital that you always consult a medical professional before making any important health decisions. Here are just a few pointers on how to stay positive and good in yourself.

Treat your body with respect

If your body feels weak and you’re not caring for it properly, your overall state of mind won’t be the best it can be. This means it’s harder to concentrate, be motivated and have enough energy to last throughout the day. During the winter, it’s hard to get the sufficient amount of vitamin D for your body to process well and young people need all they can get! For physical well being and increasing bone strength, ensure you’re eating and drinking food products like fortified orange juice, soy milk and almond milk. You can also check out AlgaeCal reviews to think about another good source. Other health factors like sleeping enough, getting the right amount of exercise, getting enough fresh air and reduced stress, are important too.

Make time every day to do stuff you enjoy doing

Whatever you enjoy doing, it’s essential that you leave an ample amount of time to do it during the day. From listening to your mom’s favorite records to playing a video game, going shopping with friends to enjoying a hobby, do what makes you happy! Making the most of your free time not only gives you the feel-good factor but provides you with a sense of satisfaction and you’re less likely to procrastinate when you need to get actual work done.

Confide in others

You know that saying ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’, well it’s true! Getting something off your chest and telling someone about whatever’s bothering you, gives you a sense of relief. Whether you confide in a family member, a close friend,  counselling at school or online therapy services such as 7cups, they are sure to help you. If you’re religious, consider going to church more and praying – it will provide you with a sense of reassurance and positivity. In the meantime, start writing in a diary to note down all of your current thoughts and wishes. Making a physical record gives you something to look back on in the future and acts almost like a checklist.

Lastly, don’t be so hard on yourself

Life’s expectations can get to all of us and you may feel like you’re not achieving what you should be. Tormenting yourself and stressing out over school grades, job expectations and other things just lead to bad thoughts and depression. Tell yourself that you’re amazing and that you’re trying your hardest. Reaching out to others can be really helpful as they can reassure you too!
